Frequently Asked Questions
-
Where does the name Earthbound Healing come from?
Earthbound Healing comes from the understanding that we are spiritual beings living in physical, earthbound bodies. True healing happens when spirit is fully grounded into the body and into the present moment. This work isn’t about escaping the human experience — it’s about inhabiting it with awareness, balance, and reverence for the earth that holds us.
-
What exactly is Earthbound Healing?
Earthbound Healing is a nature-rooted healing practice that blends Reiki energy work, sound healing, breathwork, and ceremonial space-holding. Sessions are intuitive, grounded, and designed to help you come back into alignment — body, mind, and spirit.
-
What happens during a session?
Each session is unique, but generally you’ll be guided into deep relaxation while I work with Reiki energy, sound (crystal bowls, frequency, vibration), breath, and intuitive awareness. Some people feel warmth, tingling, emotional release, or profound calm. Others just feel really, really peaceful. All of it is welcome.
-
Do I need to have experience with Reiki or energy work?
Nope. Zero experience required. You don’t need to believe in anything, understand chakras, or “do it right.” Just show up as you are — the work meets you there.
-
What issues or intentions can this work support?
People come for many reasons, including:
-
Stress, anxiety, and burnout
-
Emotional processing or life transitions
-
Physical tension or energetic fatigue
-
Spiritual curiosity or deepening intuition
-
Feeling disconnected, stuck, or off-center
You don’t need a problem to fix. Wanting balance is reason enough.
-
Is this a medical treatment?
No. Earthbound Healing is not a substitute for medical or mental health care. I don’t diagnose, prescribe, or treat illness. This work complements — not replaces — licensed healthcare.
-
What should I expect to feel afterward?
Most people feel calmer, lighter, clearer, or more grounded. Sometimes emotions surface afterward — that’s part of integration. Drink water, rest if needed, and give yourself space. The work continues unfolding after the session ends.
-
How many sessions do I need?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Some people feel a shift after one session; others choose ongoing work for deeper layers. Think of it like tuning an instrument — sometimes one adjustment is enough, sometimes you come back for maintenance.
-
What should I wear or bring?
Wear comfortable clothes. Bring an open mind, a little curiosity, and maybe a water bottle. Everything else is optional.
-
Is this spiritual or religious?
It’s spiritual in the sense that it honors connection, energy, and nature — but it’s not religious and doesn’t require any belief system. This work plays well with all paths… and with no path at all.
-
Do you work with plant or animal medicines?
Some ceremonial work may involve traditional medicines, but not all sessions include this, and it’s never casual or recreational. If something like that is involved, it’s discussed clearly, consensually, and respectfully beforehand. Safety and integrity come first.
-
Is this work safe?
Yes — when approached with honesty, consent, and respect. That said, this work can be deep. If you’re currently experiencing severe mental health challenges, please let me know beforehand so we can determine whether this is the right support for you.
-
Can sessions be done remotely?
Yes. Distance sessions are available and can be just as powerful as in-person work. Energy doesn’t care about zip codes.
-
Who is this work not for?
If you’re looking for quick fixes, bypassing emotions, or someone to tell you what to believe — this probably isn’t your jam. This work invites presence, participation, and personal responsibility.
-
How do I book a session?
Visit the Sessions page on the website and follow the booking instructions. If you have questions before booking, feel free to reach out — I’m human, not a portal.
-
I’m nervous… is that normal?
Completely. New territory always feels a little edgy. You don’t have to be fearless — just willing. We’ll take it one breath at a time.
